1. Introduction

Anesthesia Breaks Pro ("we", "our", or "us") provides operational shift and break coordination services for anesthesia departments. We prioritize user privacy and the security of operational data used within our system. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, use, and protect your information.

warning Critical HIPAA & PHI Warning

Anesthesia Breaks Pro is NOT a HIPAA-covered entity, and this platform is explicitly NOT authorized or designed for the transmission, storage, or processing of Protected Health Information (PHI). Entering PHI—including but not limited to patient names, medical record numbers, diagnoses, or clinical identifiers—into any field within this application constitutes a direct violation of our Terms of Service and may entail a severe HIPAA violation for your facility.

2. Application Encryption Architecture

While we strictly prohibit PHI, we enforce enterprise-grade security protocols for all operational and provider data. Anesthesia Breaks Pro utilizes application-level database encryption. Our middleware intercepts data payloads and systematically encrypts sensitive fields utilizing AES-GCM-256 (Advanced Encryption Standard in Galois/Counter Mode with 256-bit keys) before the data is committed to our underlying Postgres infrastructure.

All infrastructure communication is strictly enforced over TLS 1.3 to guarantee data transit protection.

3. Data Collection

We collect the minimum data necessary to orchestrate clinical shifts:

  • Provider Data: Names, clinical roles (e.g., MD, CRNA, SRNA), email addresses.
  • Facility Data: Hospital affiliations and administrative identifiers.
  • Operational Data: System-generated timestamps for break requests, operating room numbers, and non-clinical staff notes.

4. Use of Data

Information collected is exclusively used to facilitate the intended functionality of the application, including:

  • Authenticating users via passwords, Passkeys, and Two-Factor Authentication.
  • Routing administrative requests between charge nurses and staff.
  • Generating historical analytics for facility relief workflows.

We do not sell, rent, or lease operational rosters or usage data to third parties under any circumstances.

5. Modifications to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Significant changes to our data encryption or handling practices will be communicated via dashboard notifications. Continued use of the platform following modifications constitutes acceptance of the amended policy.
